Alright meight,

If you wanna be certain if the latency isn't too high (usually is good from NA to EU though) you can try the european starter's edition to see if it's playable.

I don't think it region locks the starter, being that you can only play single player and non-ranked multiplayer.

anyhow.. I have my pre-paid, and I'm gonna google it a bit first before I go ahead with my 59 Euro purchase :S

How so?, all MLG SC2 tournaments have been progressively better than the last and fantastic since Late Spring 2011. The quality of the free streams are clear and a pleasure to watch. MLG themselves provide excellent free services to the community such as the replay packs and provided a great handful of jobs for people such as Milkis.

Prizes
1st Place: Custom title of your choice* including (for a month) you can have the copper king above it.
2nd place: Custom title of your choice*
*No vulgar language and within the approval of an administrator

Rules

Spectating host invites both players to the game to act as host (Surprise, Baleout, Clix or Dextruktor)
Players play a best of 3
First map played is always Xel Naga Caverns
Loser picks next map out of the 3 possible choices:

(Can be up to 4, 8, 16, etc players. We can only accept this total)

Final Words
Tournament will be played after DXHR hype has died down. If the tournament gets bigger, up to the top 5 have a chance to get prize and the value of the top prizes increase.

It's called copper as the 1v1 ladder for Starcraft 2 is divided into tiers of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Masters, Grandmasters. It's community slang that Copper is below Bronze.[/spoiler]

I want to revive this, if DJ and Intersekt still want to join please say so. People with the game but not much knowledge like Dae, Aidan and MrBlack are welcome.

Alright.. I don't have an issue with MLG in SCII.. Just the mentality that follows with most other games (e.g. cod).

I think they're slowly beginning to look more professional.

That's the fans. MLG have always been quite a professional company before StarCraft

With their embrace of PC videogames they've grown, hopefull EVO and MLG will be in partnership again as all you really need in e-sports is the following:

Starcraft
Fighters
An FPS

Also worth noting is that EVO have had crazy Catherine tournaments. :lol:

It is a puzzle game!, it is like playing competitive Bejeweled.

I want to talk more about e-sports in general, I want to note nice stuff about IPL, ESL, IEM, GOMTV, EVO, GOD'S GARDEN, DreamHack etc later

Honestly don't think the regions will be unlocked anytime soon. If we're lucky blizzard eventually will allow you to just play on other servers if you like, but don't expect it to be soon m8

Hahaha people think protoss is underpowered.

The best protoss player is huk. that should tell you something about the general skill level of top protoss players.

It is a race full of strong timing attacks and high level does not need much bases. From experience Protoss is very powerful at all stages of the game and the easiest to learn from experience and word of mouth from online friends.

I understand HuK is a great player and it is all down to practice, but there's consistent criticism about a certain Protoss spell that is the root of what makes Protoss a powerful soft micro race, be it to prolong their life or use in their timings. Not to mention their strong tier 1 composure with two devastating AOE 2.5 units.

People state protoss are underpowered because of mostly recent failure to reach top competition... what if the players just aren't good enough for the likes of Nestea and MVP?

We thought MC was the greatest protoss, maybe in 2010, but as I've been saying since GSL1 we haven't seen anything yet with pro players in comparison to the Boxer, Jaedong etc era of SCBW. Once the game and the players have matured we'll see the constant shifting until we can ALL reach a conclusion on what is the strongest race, even for a moment.

tldr I think protoss atm is the strongest at top level, just dont have the players yet
