The amount donated to the charity, the amount that went to the actual cause is equal to the cost of wages of the US staff and the travel combined.

What can I say, other than that the directors of Invisible Children are sick people that use viral marketing and sensationalist tactics for "donations," completely unaware of what they're actually doing. This is what happens when you put sheltered Americans at the forefront of a charity organization...

Sheltered is definitely the operative word here.

I really don't think they know they are in SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA. They're not in Europe, not in the USA and crossing borders with Canada, they're in a region with huge interstate conflicts, intrastate instabilities and sovereignty is still very much the number 1 priority for the respective governments. They're going to allow the national army of Uganda wander into their borders without a backlash.

FURTHERMORE, armed combatants against kids. THINK ABOUT IT.

This is such an incredibly huge point that I'm not entirely sure how groups like Invisible Children didn't think about it.

Unfortunately, people (as in, the general public) don't think things through enough. Delivering justice to people like Kony isn't as simple as we might like.

not to mention that the kids are farr to gone with brainwashing to even help them. Sure it's possible, but it would take many years multiplied by the (god knows how many) kids to captivate and 'normalize them'.
