Bobo is the best by default. So I decided that it would be pointless to mention him :)

moop wrote:If you want Augs to grow again, you need to set up a server that can handle 20+ players. Noobs love populated servers because they will always be able to get a lucky kill. The only reason people play in the GODZ server, despite its obviously shitty maps, shitty adminning, shitty gameplay, shitty weapon placement, and shitty ping, is because it holds a maximum of 20 players...which means that the server empties more slowly...which means that when people look at the list of available servers, they say "Ooh, I see a server which doesn't have only one person in it; I'll go there because it's populated and I can blend in."

Then they discover that they can get easy kills because of all the noob weapons. They think getting 10 kills is awesome, but they don't realize they've been killed 30 times. Wow! 10 frags! 1 4/\/\ t3h r0xx0rz!!

DX, and other games, need a better scoring model. Frags alone don't say who "won" a map. The net frags and kill/death ratio are far better indicators of who has skill. If you kill 20 people and die 20 times, you've done absolutely nothing to help or hurt your team (from a purely scoring perspective... that player could have saved the life of a more skilled teammate, enabling that player to continue to be streaked, which is an indirect positive influence which wouldn't be reflected in the net score). However, a player who goes 20-10 is twice as productive as a different player with the same 2:1 kills:death ratio who went 10-5.

All that matters for me - kills. Not deaths, not team score, NOTHING

just kills

only thing that I think of when playing

dont worry guys! Mr DejaVu is back and ill do everything to keep AUGs in DX! im fighting for dedicated augged server, if i cant get any, ill probably buy one ÃŒber server hosted in germany (prices are about 110 â?¬ per month). and ill put up server just like jolt.co.uk was. with all these great maps (smuggles, smuggles2, damnationalley), newest MTL and of course ATDM or augged deathmatch mode all the time  like in old times....

and theres another thingie coming out soon, the project name is Project DeusEx Multiplayer Advanced Training. i cant tell you more for now, but i think it will be a big boom for newbies and all wanna-learn augs&skills.

Please. The less of TCNdk, and their maps, that remains in Deus Ex, the better. They were all cockbiting fucktards. If I ever see Marvin, I'll put a fist in his face and a foot in his ass.

 I guess it might have been like that, sorry about it. I rarely played myself and the server seemed to be empty most of the times so we all thought it wasn't smart to keep it up...

No-aug games are alright but when you have tasted the real DXMP with augmentations and the possibility to be unbeatable, no-aug games just feel so boring. If I want to play without augs I'll buy Counter-Strike or something...

About [TCNdk], I thought they were damn cool in many ways (for example playing against them was friggin' awesome :D) but they also had their negative sides such as being the biggest liars of all times.

Compared to the maps being created nowadays, the TCN maps were a piece of genius (Still not saying much)

Why didn't everyone give me the same warm welcome as mess? Bloody bastards, you are all on my MSN block list from now on!

On a side note, augs are the very backbone of DX, noaug is just too boring to hold substance for a long time, hence why so few people remain today. Augs lasted for 3+ years, then came noaug, 6 months later nothing left but GODZ and some noaug servers.

And some of the early TCN maps were great, like smuggles and damnationalley, but the new stuff like whateveritscalled and smuggles2 just completely sucked arse.

The reason TCN were so bitter towards the community is that others couldn't accept that they were being owned by a bunch of players from SCOTLAND!

Lol, TCN as well as Team Cartoon Network, stood for The Claymore Nation, referring to Scotland.

The majority of the members, including the leading syndicate were Scottish.

Bob, on the other hands, broke snare drums.

Obviously you suck at history then. :)

A claymore is a big sword basically. Traditionally it was the sword carried into battle by the Highland warriors.

Tbh, Wallace did very little to help the movement. He had no chance of succeeding either.

Bruce ended the war, without a winner or looser. Well the winner was, to an extent England, since they gained a form of dominance. But Bruce used POLITICS and not brute force to calm things. He lured England into thinking he was trustworthy, but kept in touch with the Scottish gentry.
