That way isn't needed if you use Milkshape, Cat's tutorial:

Scroll down till the end page, Download Milkshape to Deus Ex Converter. Paste it in the folder you installed Milkshape, after that open Milkshape, open your mesh. Goto Files>Export>Deus Ex 3d.
Select some clean folder, and then you know what to do, make a new package, and paste it there, and compile.
