Anyone know if its possible to code a gun to have primary ammo as buckshot (shotgun rounds) and then secondary ammo as 20mm?

The M79 will have a clip of 1 with total rounds 20 (buckshot - twice as powerful as the sawn-off shotgun hopefully), and when you pick up 20mm (although the 20mm ammo will eventually be renamed '40mm') you can load that in for say every 4 rounds of 20 mm, will go 1 clip with 3 spare

The double barrel shotgun will have a 2 round clip of 12 gauge buckshot, and spare ammo of say 10 clips (20 rounds)

The double barrel will be 2 consecutive semi-automatic rounds of shot, instead of the old doom/quake style of firing both rounds at the same time, which is physically impossible

Erm ... correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the M79 a grenade launcher only?

personally, i think this would go well on my new DXAG_Landerneau, since that is set in a WWII village in france.

It would yeah, and an MP40.

I still need to work on the textures a bit more, and I hafta work on animations as well. ;p

Ive read some stuff that because during Vietnam (where the M79 was predominant) instead of carrying a sidearm, soldiers questioned the army about a 40mm buckshot round, which then came into circulation, to provide close combat firepower and launched grenade firepower

MrBlack has sent me the code for the double barrel shotgun, I have made it so you can select single firing (in clips of 2), or shoot both barrels at once, but with a longer time to reload.

actually altfire exists in the base code for DX too it's just never used

neither, you're both wrong. It overrides the change ammo key, so when i press it, it sets bDouble to either true or false. When you fire, it checks whether you are in double mode or not, and fires accordingly.

MainMan, look in the buckshot ammo type (I thought), it shows how you can set what kind of shells it should drop, and if possible, make it drop 2 shells when fired in bDouble mode.

The buckshot idea is good, I think that from what Ive seen of the map mainman made (when i tested it) It will tie in quite well, I cant wait till its put up.
