Random Lag Spikes on a WLAN!

Ok, i have a serious problem. Whenever i connect to a server, about 5 minutes in, i pick up a random lag spike from my WLAN, sending my ping to over 12000!

I took these things into acount:

When i exit from DX, i get a "Your Wireless network connection has been connected" message, as if it has been cut off during play. The same happenes with the Internet connection.

I seem to have nothing wrong in the DX logs, or anywhere else. I also have my router set up right for WLAN, and DXMP.

Any ideas how to fix this, anyone?

Make sure there is no interference.
Also make sure the wireless adapter add comp are within 20 meters if it is 8 meg wireless.....

Erm...thats all i can think of.

When I was in Manchester a year ago at friends' house I noticed the same problem with WiFi on a couple of computers. I haven't managed to fix it and the only solution i can think of is to change adapter.
You can try query Google - I'm sure this problem is not a rare one or maybe call support of the company which have installed WiFi at your house.

I done it myself, i got a wireless router from AOL(The Internet company with all the stupid adverts about the internet in Britain), a Thompson SpeedTouch 576, with an 'Easy Install Guide' (Or as i call it, "Patronisim in CD form", lol) I also cant host, despite having set up my router properly...

I think i'll lose the internet for ages if i get a new router, AOL send stuff really slow in the post... And my laptop is within about 3 meters from my router, and the only thing in the way between them is my door, and the computer door.

Which router are you using, cause if your using a connection such as:

DSL/Phone > Modem > Router > PC.

Make the modem's encapsulation be bridged followed by whatever your encapsulation is normally, LLC or VC-Mux. Also turn firewall on modem and not on Router. Also set your DNS settings manually in Windows config, put them one has your modem ip and the other as your router ip (local). Turn on port forwarding/napt/virtual server and use the dx ports if you really need to.
