here i am again
the next 2 weeks will be terrible there ill write 6 examens
but at least i'm mentally mostly ok again :)

now it's friday (again) and i'm gonna try to fix the aug bug ..at first of all ^_^

DXAG_Zan-Goh

Obviously i take no pleasure from converting this map, since it is rightful property of whoever designed it, just have fun muckers :]

New Skins;

Soldier - Black body armour skin
Sniper - Green camo skin
Medic - White shirt/red tie combo
Engineer - Orange Mechanic skin
Stealth - Thermoptic Camo skin

Thats it really

Known beta bugs, (will be repaired for later version)

Light Aug disapeers
Zan-Goh map texture problems (with movers, i cant map >.<)
lams may or may not have been lowered in damage

Anyway, a fixed version will be released sometime, otherwise have fun on nobodys server, and make sure you put the files in the right places

hmm... i was realy hoping for DXAG_CMD theives could brake into windows... engineers steal towerlift etc.
oh yeah, zan goh?isnt that only realy good for snipers?
i wud play it but im on holiday in scotland

Zan Goh is the only good one out of the three (no offence). It works well because you effectively have two bases, so people like attacking/defending. CMD MIGHT work well, or if you could make a new map... BTW a lot of us were thinking that snipers should have Vision Enhancement....

Version 3 Concept

Ok, heres the plan for the next version of Deus Ex: Arx Genus

Key;

* = Within Primary Objectives
# = Within Secondary Objectives
*(Number) or #(Number) = A specific ident tag

Primary Objectives WILL be completed for Version 3!

Secondary Objectives, although nice, are not a priority for the release of 3 and therefore implemented in subsequent releases if not released with this version.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

First off, classes;

A new class will finally be implemented, the 6th classes name is "Brute"

This class will deal with heavy weapons...

His weapon configuration is as follows;

Primary Weapon - A GEP Gun (Not modified)

Secondary Weapon - A PS20 (See Gun Modifications - *1)

Melee Weapon - A Baton (Not Modified/See Secondary OBJS - #1)

The AUGs for this class, and all other classes, will be reworked, it is likely this class may recieve overlapping AUG's from other classes, namely, the Energy Shield from Engineers.

Augmentations;

The following is what has been decided by myself as changes so far to each class in terms of AUG's;

Soldier - No necessary changes needed

Sniper - Ditto

Medic - Maybe the deduction of ballistic protection

Engineer - Possibly the removal of SpyDrone

Stealth - Most definetely either the alteration or complete removal of Speed AUG, and most likely the removal of RADAR TRANS

Brute - Considering a mixture of Energy Shield, Ballistic Protection and a third AUG

The AUG layout is far from finalised, so I will need opinions of it.

Weapons/Gun Modifications;

Soldier - Only a secondary objective change, see #2

Sniper - A definite removal of the sawn-off shotgun, and replaced with a pistol type weapon, see below *2

Engineer - A definite removal of the automatic shotgun, and replaced with the Double-Barrel Shotgun, see below *3

Medic - Only a secondary objective change, see #3

Stealth - Only a secondary objective change, see #4

Brute - A modified PS20, see *1, and a modified Melee Weapon, see #1

*1 - The modified PS20, will keep the same model, prerably a new reload animation, non-discardable after 1 shot. It will have similar or lower power, 4 shot clip, with 2-3 extra clips.

*2 - Pistol Type Weapon, will prerably have a burst fire mode or single shot mode, a clip of 21, aprox the same power as the stealth, but louder, semi-auto mode will be inbetween the rate of fire of the stealth pistol and the normal pistol, whereas burst mode will be 3 bullets in quick succession, with a 1-2 second gap between shots, range is the same as both pistols.

*3 - Double-Barrel Shotgun, will be a new model, a 2 shot clip, the ability to change Rate of Fire with change ammo function. 10 extra clips (20 extra shells), a longer than normal shotgun range, same power as the sawn-off, a 4-5 second reload time, with an even longer reload for the double shot mode. Grenade Changes;

Soldiers - 1 LAM and 1 GAS is fine for now
Engineers - 2 LAMs and 2 EMP's is also fine
Medics - 2 GAS maybe increased to 3 GAS
Snipers - 1 LAM, maybe give them 1 GAS
Stealth - 3 EMP, 1 GAS, 1 LAM, definitely remove the LAM, and maybe give them 2 EMP
Brute - Not sure, either 1 LAM or 2 GAS, no EMP's

Actual changes to the grenades are possible, preferably a dampen down on the LAM power - Secondary OBJ

Item Changes;

Multitools - Will be reduced from 5 > 1, will last forever, however, they will take twice as long to use as normal

Lockpicks - Same as Multitools

Medkits - Medkits will be reduced from 5 > 2, given that regen is availible for Medics

Biocells - No changes needed, see secondary objectives - #5

Map changes;

The only thing will be that new signs may be used to represent the classes, if each class loses an AUG which represents them (example, Engineers lose Spy Drone) then that would seem necessary to change

Secondary Objectives coming soon...

All sounds good, except for the taking away the Sawn off shotgun from the Snipers, it perfectly compliments the sniper rifle and therefore should be kept, just my opinion...

I believe you left out the info for DefaultGame=, because it isn't loading up as DXAG.

Maybe a little too many lams? I mean if u go on Ducks-ag evening people speed enhance throw lams everywhere, Its losing the meaning a little. Make sure lambugging is stopped at least

don't worry.. finally i managed it to decrease the goddamn lam damage amount, such as the radius around the half

i can think about some kind of anti grenade zone in the teleport rooms...
like they exist in jimbo's server

Dont worry too much about it, I mean all servers have this problem. DO what you cna, It will always be an issue

Np, I got it running with a shortcut. Set the target with C:\DeusEx\System\DeusEx.exe DXAG_Area51Bunker+.dx?Game=ArxGenus.DXAG?-server?log=server.log

What do you mean? It worked for me. Spawned without augs then got augs when I went through teleport... and my skills were at level 3. Isn't that right?

I'm going to make an addendum to that line, because when I tried it, I still ended up with DXMTL player class.
