Niggly thing...

Postby AgentSmyth » Fri Mar 17, 06 2:27 pm

This is just a minor thing, but its crusical to my map idea...

Right i was on the servers the other day and I saw DXMP_Maze up and running...so I went into it, and besides from the bots I thought it was VERY boring, and thats when inspiration hit me. Make a maze, but with a twist..throughout the maze there will be traps, but they wont be "set" you have to set them....for your oppoents....if you set them they have to walk into a beam trigger to set them off, and then you can see where it goes from there....anyway

Is it possible to make a beam trigger triggerable

If not this map cant work

I would just make a switch that moves a mover, that in-turn makes it able for a person to trip a mover, and be crushed ^_^.

Yeah, DXMP_Maze is shit on a stick.

you see the whole point of the thing is that it need a beam...
there will be proper weapons in the map, just like ne killing map...how ever the map looks the same the whole way though it...so it makes it more like a maze, plus there is another thing that i wont quite reveal just yet...but there is also traps that you can set to kill people...or slow them down...i tried using a dispatcher..but the chances of someone walking into that area within a given time period is slim and therefore makes the trap worthless and then there is always the possible thing of the actual switch, but that means people can be killed before they even hit the button

you can see my dilema

I think you should go a 'lil MGS on everyone's ass. And put certain points with custom textures.... that shows where you are. ^_^.

Getting completly lost in a map is just gay. FULL-STOP.
