Taking Requests...

Postby MainMan » Sun Mar 19, 06 11:55 am

Now for my new mod, which will be released very soon, I have made it possible to buy a stereo and CDs in a media store. You can listen to the CDs, and if you want a song to be in the mod, you can request it here. Please attach the song to make it easier. Thanks.

P.S. This may or may not be in the release of the mod, I have not decided yet - due to filesize, but most likely it will be. Also, I'm not guaranteeing that I will put all the songs on there!

No I don't mean computer game music - I mean music you would listen to in real life, e.g. bands.

Yup.

Yeah, I'm trying to compress it etc. That is the main reason why i said I don't know for sure if it will be in the mod. However, I will disable downloads from the server, and just post all the files in a thread on these forums.

UPDATE: I have now found a compressed wav format which works in DX and takes up about 1MB/5 min of music. (With a half-decent sound quality as well)

Fuck no!

I would hate for any music to be played in Deus Ex sounding remotely like any of those songs.

If you plan that players should install your mod manually, why not just buillt in a library, so Deus Ex itself will play mp3/ogg files? For more information, have a look at the topic on my Russian forum. I hope you didn't forget Russian. With these libraries it's most likely you can even listen to Internet radio via Deus Ex.

Talk on English :)
No, you don't have to have Winamp on your computer.
And read the topic till the end.
The link really doesn't work, I'll ask to reupload the file.

Почему :P?

No, I read all 3 pages, and none of the links worked. That vector server times out, and the file-hosting one at the end says the file does not exist.
