Dejas idea is great, 1 server for people who want to learn.

Im thinking of making a large text file basically telling what weapons do what damage what augs actually do etc etc so a noob or learner can read up on the game get ideas and go play.

Will take me a while but i think its a good idea i just need some1 to get it online cos thats where i am a noob!!

http://members.fortunecity.co.uk/dmv27/ ... p_wdg.html That's Smuggler's DXMP Weapon Damage Guide I think, it shows all damage done by weapons with and without targeting and with combat strength for lowtech.

What we need to do is put into place processes which will allow players like you to make a smooth transition into aug gaming. Right now, aug servers are usually empty, and when players are there they're usually either n00bs or pros, so it's difficult to learn. Still, there are some possibilities.

Playing against pros is key. Even if you're a noob getting messed up is good. You can learn much quicker this way.

When I first started (back in the day) I played only on the DEA server (where they destroyed me over and over) until I began to find some ways to pick off their team members and such (I was also on 56k). I seem to remember playing CMD a lot.

I remember when I was a newb DX was alot more buggy and I could unlock doors without spending a lockpick. :D Then an MTL patch came out and I had to download it and I was like WTF?! Good times in [I] server though.
