He could just use his own server, however any patch he made would only take into account -his- server settings. Others may have security features already in place, and if they effect the ability to cheat, you need to know why, if they don't, you need to know why - more so. (MTL would fall into this area.)

Now in relation to the topic on hand- LET IT GO. Sure Alex has made mistakes in the past, but by contributing with the bug fix and such it shows a turning point, does it not. Alex has now become a part of the solution, and not the problem. The past is the past, its like bringing up
the ordeal with world war two with the holocaust, with the nazis.
People forget about it and forgive, and this is the same situation. Leave the past to remain the past. I agree with both points of view, but I think, that you have to let it go, and start afresh.
I didn't understand half the posts, what with Veronica Guerin even being brought in it how that happened I dont know!
Anyway, why should we need logs, when [A]lex, admitted to crashing the servers, and forums. I feel the logs are unneccesary, and are only proving things that have been admitted.

I can see Ferd's point, he paid for the server for our enjoyment, his own hard earned cash. I think that's what people seem to be missing here, he's going out of his way to give us that little bit of happiness in servers, taking it out of his own pocket in fact.
