No, the ini is set at 1600 x 1200, and the resolution is fine, its the HUD that is wrong. The ingame settings still say 640 x 480 tho.

640x480 is the fail-safe settings, it'll revert back to that setting when ever something goes wrong.

The reason dragging the screen works, but keeps the setting of 640x480 is because it bypasses that completely and is handled in the event system.

I'm begining to suspect the HUD is not capable of being dynamic, which means it may not be drawn in a scalable fashion.
(In Source, for example, the HUD is drawn on a 800x600 matrix, so when you say 'X:0, Y:140', it will be correctly translated across all resolutions, it seems the unreal negine lacks this.)

If DX does over ride it, we can do squat to fix it, since it'd be in that big bad dll...

Touching that DLL runs many legal risks.

I'd want legal proof before doing anything. =/

What about legality issue, all my PlanetDeusEx.ru forum is being inhabited by persistent lawbreakers, 'cause Deus Ex hasn't ever been published in Russia officially by Eidos and anywhere else in CIS. Or for example, look at Project 2027, which is a stronghold of unlawfulness actually...

Didn't DX copyright run out?

I don't think a copyright can run out. If you're talking about its dead developer Ion Storm then I can say that Eidos owns all the rights.

But Dae's tested this on UT I think he said, and he dosen't have this problem. =/

However UT GOTY , which i have, uses different engine with a lot of bugs fixed.

I would require legal proof before working on anything, and then distrubting it to the community at large.

What one person does is their problem.

I can assure you distributing the parts of the game is illegal.

Then I wouldn't wish to work on editing the dll. ;)
