You're getting slow in your old age, too much work? :/

Your metal bands (for lack of a better word) sing about killing them, thus singing about a large emotion they have, and the need they have to express it. They both have lyrics about death, dying, rage, emotion, etc.

The only difference being, emo is a lighter form.

That's where you grow especially dim.

Emotional is displaying a stronge sense of emotion. Although anger is one of these emotions, sadness, angst and anguish is a FAR GREATER emotion and a pathetic one at that.

There's no song out there that doesn't display emotion. However, emos in this sense define the emotions of crying, sadness, anguish, angst.

Hapiness is an emotion.
Anger is an emotion.
Hate is an emotion.
Enigma is an emotion.
Nostalgia is an emotion.

However, sadness, angst, depression and anguish are probably the strongest that effect you, therefore are considered "emo" and not "emotions".

Strange paradox, but meh.
