Masterserver issues

I have been having masterserver issues since yesterday and I am not sure if it is just me or the masterserver itself.

Sometimes I can get on, sometimes not.

Anyway point being, why is this happening?

Er.. What do you mean exactly?

You mean the servers don't show up in the list sometimes? Or something else..

Yeah, basically I can't see any of the servers when entering multiplayer when starting up the game.
When I type the ip in the box it connects fine, just can't see an of the servers.

And I assume when you press re-fresh it still doesn't appear, but when you close down DX and restart it they are their again?

It happens to me Sometimes, Usualy if I am waiting for a space in a server and I press refresh to much then they just don't come back again. I just restart it again. I dunno if theres a way to fix it though.

Nope doesn't re-appear when restarting it either.

Only started yesterday as well.

So you can no-longer so any servers in the server list even when you restart DX?

Did you edit anything in your INI or anything like that which could of provoked this "Error"?

I haven't a clue. But I think something might have changed in the ini.

Could you attach yours here Kaid, so i can copy it and hopefully I will be able to see the masterserver then.

Not at the momment sorry. I'm not on my computer and this one doesn't have DeusEx installed on it. Someone else might be able to attach theres though. I will be able to add mine about Mid-Day tommorow if no-one has by then.

I haven't a clue. But I think something might have changed in the ini.

Could you attach yours here Kaid, so i can copy it and hopefully I will be able to see the masterserver then.

Open DeusEx.ini, press Ctrl + F and search for

Code: Select all

MenuScreenJoinGame

If it returns no results, then doubtfully it's related to Deus Ex as application. If it returns a result, please copy here the whole block of variables under DeusEx.MenuScreenJoinGame

Eeh, you can't define 1 variable twice. Try doing this:

When Ichotolot made that topic about the new masterserver, is there suppose to be a serveractors= in it?

... go in your Deusex.ini and ...


add in section [DeusEx.DeusExGameEngine] the line

MasterServerAddress=master.dxmtl.eu MasterServerPort=27900


and add in section [DeusEx.MenuScreenJoinGame] the line

;MasterServerAddress=master.dxmtl.eu
