edit: also, dxsp community would have quite a bit to say about this aswell, considering how they think of mp as a failure and an irrelavant add-on. DXSP is the game i love and dxmp provides two different games to choose from. I play both augs and 0augs and prefer one or another for different reasons. But i play it to shoot at something and not follow a storyline. Also, I play it for teamwork.

Messiah, look back over the thread, a few servers already have protection from the attacks, and more will follow. A more permanent fix will hopefully be along shortly.

Crash my server, please. It will give me an IP related to you, and nothing would please me more then to ban it.

As far as the whole Augged/0-augged debate goes, look at the server list during these attacks, notice any trends? I did, I noticed my server (0-aug no-sniper) getting more and more traffic, and the few 0-aug servers up followed suit. I noticed the augged servers where almost empty.

Personally, I don't give a shit what some wanker says about how a game should be played, it won't change the fact that 0-aug and mod servers are more fun to play then augged servers.

But of course, I know what you're thinking "He got sick of being owned in augs, Lololz, I'm so leet. *touches self*", but you'd be wrong. I pretty constantly get owned by better players in CSS, and ET, about the only other FPs' I play. I don't agro over it, nor do I care if they are better, I'm having fun while I play.

Augs are boring imo, with the exception of speed in smugs with DTS, which is a scream.

Imho single player is better than multiplayer now. I pray that there will be an augger who doesn't act as cocky as messiah and loves both augs and 0 augs, but the chances are greatly decreasing.

All I wanted was that the tBoT members are left out of this before getting some real evidence of us crashing your servers. So far I have not seen any and I doubt I will in the future because we could care less about the way you play your games, ffs. If some of our augged servers would or will get crashed, we surely are not going to mention your clan tag, your clan's players or anything connecting your clan to some hacking thing before we'd have some evidence. Now why we would not do this? It is not only fair towards your clan, it also prevents the newbies getting wrong impressions.

So all I asked in my opinion was fairness, good politics and nice sportsmanship. It is a completely different thing to argue about which game type is better than if your clan is hacking or not.

Hey, don't look at me. If I were you, I'd post that long post, I'd be interested to read it. I do not blame anyone other than DejaVu for this circumstance, and will not unless I see any proper evidence.

We were arguing if zero-aug and other gametypes, different to augs, have a right to exist. Believe me or not, but personally i prefer augs to zero-aug (however, not ATDM - i had no chance during my Deus Ex experience to play it regularly).
