Typing Display mutator -- Development

Ok, I got really bored over the weekend, so to cheer myself up, I made a mutator xD

This mutator allows you to see when a player is typing, by displaying a little speech bubble above their head.

IE:

Also, you can choose whether to make typers immune to all attacks, which is kind of helpful :) .

This is pre-release mind you, I still have replication issues to iron out :)

Wow, that was fast! In that case, I'll get right on it again :)

It works perfect in Non-Dedicated, and the no-killing typers works fine in Dedicated, but it just won't move/spawn that god damn bubble!!!

Yes, without the immunity to death it would be a great mod, I can see a lot of people just pretending to type or just typing shit so they don't get killed >_>

Make it that if the killer kills the typer 3 times he/she gets automaticly kicked.

Then you can just go type in the middle of a fight and get that person kicked ¬_¬

Nice idea for a mod, but that immunity to typer is a bad thing imo.

immunity sucks, but creating some sort of sign above, perhaps some texture already in DX, is good idea. And you can always log the typekill. As in: "Player typekilled killed [A]llan!!!"

This was already made in the beta MTL160 beta. I thought of this idea awhile back when I played the game Devastation. Also, maybe you can use the datalink icon to show up on above the head, if you want it to feel more like dx.

quake 3 had a small sign above head when typing, datalink would be just it
