DXAG is a great mod, it focuses on teamwork. DXAG is better than augs by all means of the word, augs is a savage individualistic game played by veterans smothering new people who want to try it. A perversion of what it was originally.

DXSG is a great mod as well, it has a lot of unique ideas about it and it has a lot of really neat stuff to play with.

Both focus on fun - something Augs, I'm afriad, will never, EVER, be, given the conditions it's in.

If you think both of those mods are for "newbs" - then I'll be honest - you're a fucking idiot. You don't know anything related to the word "mod" - thus I suggest you shut your mouth before you try to tell US, the EDITING COMMUNITY, what it is.

I want to learn augs. But it is fucking annoying if the opposition is only excisting out off die hard auggers who I can't kill.Makes the game as fun for me as it is for total newbs.It can be fun if there a lot of people from all kind of levels.Why you think it was popular back when 0 augs didn't excisted ? I found out a lot of people played it from other forums.They all agreed dx 1 was better than dx 2.But none of them played for over 3 years.
If you want to mod or such , bring back the snipe reload bug or what ever it was.Stop toying around with weapons and make them look " cooler" than the excisting weapons.For " cool""weapons people will go to different games any such as unreal tournament or quak or what ever , not to dx. CSS or DX 0 augs, I'd say most would choose CSS.

DX ag with improvement needed on skill buying and 2 augs per kill

By the way , me saying that we need to get dx alive is on the otherhand bullshit.This community only excist because it has people toying with creativity and making " uber leet " mods with weapons of massive destrcution alias the super rocket.Furthermore is contains people who play this game once in a month or 2 just to play something different than other games.And a little group of active or at least addicted people who play it because they still like it.The majority moved on to games better than dx.Better graphics , gameplay etc etc.Dx wasn't a mod at the beginning.The SP had augs , so obvious the MP also needed augs and had augs.Zero augs changed it , changed the game and made it less attractive.When the era of 0 augs started many left and during the begin stage of the 0 augs populairity many left as well.
The " lets all have some fun and no competition " attitude killed this game completely.The " have fun and no competition" is in the SP were you explore the game , which weapons it has and how it should be played a bit.MP is always based on competition.Without that MP dies and isn't needed.

I'm not sure if all these mods were supposed to impress you, Shadow - if you're getting impressed only by games which were made by those who earn living on game development. And thinking in way that all the mods in comparison to another game will lead you to nowhere. Following this logic I may conclude that you're a complete nonentity in comparison to, say, Bill Gates.

The mods didn't convert DX to another game, but they changed it that it's still being played after almost 7 years. That's what were they supposed to do. No wonder that I often see aug and zero-aug servers staying empty when modded are full. If they weren't succesful, noone would develop them.
