It has come to my attention that the DXSG Maps are making a comeback in dx. About every night I go on, I would say there would be servers packed full of players but... ONLY if there are DXSG maps up. I Personally think they are the best map edited + moded maps so far, it's.... just so fun. To get to the point, I have searched Alpha's site, and have found no DXSG map packs. I've found the upgraded rings for it, but no maps. If there are no DXSG map packs up, then could you please do that for all us DXSG fans please Dae? thanks. If it turns out that the download is right in front of me and im being an idiot, please tell me where the map packs are, thanks again. :wink:

They only are making a come back because nobody hosts them. When nobody hosts DXAG, DXAG makes a come back...


Mind you, i don't see a point in DXAG.... Seeming as near enough everyone can just download RTCW/W:eT which i presume it is based on.

If you don't see a point in DXAG then you don't see a point in most of the mods created for DX, in fact most of the maps as well. Seeing as you can always find something similar in another game.

Lol, that's exactly what came to mind on me too, the RTCW concept, however, I just don't find it the same exitement with Dx's game engine. No offence to Nobody, MrBlack and the DXAG crew, its still a great mod :wink: I just don't preffer it.

I think Cathedral would be a bit too small, you'd have to do alot of extensions on the map to make it work well with the teleproters.

well, since it's 85% ready, it's impossible to stop it anymore..
besides..

the Original Cathedral map is 3.2MB big, the SG version is 7.5Mb big :lol:

i thought that mod had stargates O_o, but because your mod is/was based a lot on codes on textures there was no bloody way I could play it on my lowest possible dx graphics. I simply couldnt understand any of what was written!

yeah i thought, on the shitter, about what i meant by "Stargate" after i had made that post, and i couldnt be arsed to re-edit since its only translation which is the problem

Ive got the general gist of how to implement ring transporters into the map

hell, maybe u could have a different "star-gate" per class teleport

well, the SG_MOD needed to be modified to match the conditions of dXAG

it would be more likely like the first version of the SG_MOD
i.e.. with single side teleporting and without dial-unit, but just a red button
