well personaly, i think if u play a few times a week or wa ever, that is enough for the community. that is all the community needs. sure a new map or 2 once in a while nd a new mod. but its goten to the point where ppl are quiting dx to make maps nd mods.

u can make all the maps nd mods u want, but if there is no 1 to play them, there is no point in makeing them :cry:

You're not quitting DX if you continue mapping or modding for it, if they don't play online doesn't mean they left it.

At Dae, thats wrong, there was a mod before it got played! So really you got that the wrong way around.

At Alex, you made CRD yes but im hard thinking of what u done b4 that? You made Lionheart quit dx? that was his choice you didnt make him. You also was as bad as him at one stage with cheating, you still openly admit you have a bot that works on DX and what i do think is gay is that FUNBOT.C works on CRD servers?? Why is that huh?

Im sure the above will shock alot of people.

Yes, I'm shocked that your so ignorant.

I think what Daedalus meant was that if noone plays mods, people wouldn't make any mods, maybe once but after noone plays they won't make anymore lol.

As for Alex, he never bothered a server like GamesMajor with his hacks, I think he went hacking in it once but he didn't use it to get many kills or the piss people off, when they told him to quit he quit.

Sorry for calling you ignorant but that's how I think atm

And about LionHeart. Yea sure, think that. LionHeart was a friend of mine, I asked him to stop the cheating, and he did. I can go ask him to start cheating? If you like? Since you're server is not capable of taking him. Your anti cheat mods, do not stop him. CRD does stop him, and he helped me making it. And no, it doesn't stop Funbot. You know why? I don't care about pathetic little aimbots. Funbot is not good in DeusEx, and don't go tell it is, since I have experienced it. And yes, I admit that I have a bot that still works. But that is known, for a long time now. If you want to start the discussion of "OMG OMG ALEX HACKS LET'S WHINE AND STUFF", go ahead. I do not give a shit what people think of me, since the people who really know me will support me & will know the truth.

Suddenly, Nobody and Bowen's mods are the most important and all others are jackshit?

What about Alex's?
What about MrBlack's, he was the genius that made DXAG?
What about Jon, Reaction, Spiderbot, nay, ALL OF DXMS?
What about DXEditing.com?

You think editors exist just to make other people PLAY THEIR MODS? And on some weird server like yours? No. The editing community doesn't give two shits about the DXMP community. The editing community decided that DXMP is full of morons, and that's why they choose not to intervene.

There's loads of people you don't even know that edit. Loads of people you haven't even seen ONCE in DX. And you say Nobody and Bowen are the best modders? Granted, they are great modders, but the rest of us did do, in fact, "jack shit". I'll give you a few examples:

-The entire modelling crew models for HDTP, which improves current DX meshes
-Daedalus codes and codes again, not to mention mapping. Remember FunLine? That was all Dae's and Alex's doing (sorry if I forgot anyone who worked in it.)
-Smookie, albeit lazy, MAPS.

Oh yeah, you have the fastest server. My ass. You're so fucking confident in your server, you spend so much money in it every day. But whenever I come around, I don't see anyone playing in it. Odd? Not really. More like coincidence, because nobody CARES about your server. Wanna know why? You spend too much time bragging about it.

So what, you have the fastest server. Servers are just there for people to play with, and ANYONE can HOST a server if they have enough money and a good connection. Klop (sorry to use you for this example) can do it if he has enough money to. But editing - you think anybody can do that? NO. You have to learn how to mod, map, model, whatever it is you are editing. You keep learning about it through experience, tutorials, and experiments. You don't even need any cash. That's why editing is much harder than hosting a server.

Now, let's look at "who keeps DX alive the most".

-Servers are great for keeping DXMP alive, since many people play in them
-They also can have custom maps, gametypes, etc. so that people can try out something different rather than boring augs. Nobody wants to play augs all their DXMP career, although a few aug preachers like those from [tBot] might. People want to have fun, and they want the freedom to choose what they are playing, not play the same thing constantly.

Let's look at coding now:

-Coding improves or makes an entirely different actor in DX.
-People can have fun playing with coded items, characters, weapons etc because it's something new and normal human curiosity would tell them to try it out.

Mapping?

-Mapping is a great way for other people to fight in a new environment, rather than fighting in the same maps all their DXMP career.
-Some maps are extremely detailed, which make great for a good fighting environment, while others are small and tactful.

Modelling?

-Modeling makes new or improves DX models. These can range from characters to weapons to items to decorations etc. Most people, even DXMP veterans, have fun playing with previously modelled weapons. They can be powerful or non-powerful, it depends on the code of the weapon.
-People would want to play with models, it gives them a chance to fight with something new for once in a while rather than the same old weapons that they played with previously.
-Take it from me, a modeler - modelling is hard work. You have to do so much, and you have to be an experienced one to import a decent model. You have to learn how to model, skin, animate, export into .3d format, use a large number of import codes, import it into the game. When you test it out, unless you're an EXTREMELY good modeller, chances are that it will be buggy 95% of the time.

Let's see your servers match up with that.

i was so sure crd blocked funbot until a mate proved otherwise. what a disappointment!

You want to know what a disappointment was for people? People used miniMTL210 (Don't take this personal Nobody), and thought it was oh-so-safe, untill Lionheart came, and cheated as if no security mod was installed. Fine, have it your way, I wont stop you.

The bottom line is, if there weren't a single custom map or mod in Deus Ex, I most certainly would have quit by now, as I am sure alot of people would have done as well.

I've been modding and modelling for almost 3 years now, during which I was also playing. But about a year ago, I stopped to continue my modelling. People like Jesus think this is very stupid, but I think it's good. I think that I don't need to play "true DXMP". All I want to do is follow my hobby, which is modelling, and keep doing so without the worries and drama of DXMP. That's my goal.

The funbot is very good in very low ping, wanna come test it with me alex? id bet youd win against me with a bot and id bet youd lose without it.

I dont care about the time wasters doing all that re-texturing why? because it will never be used. I dont care about mods, why? because i find them boring. I enjoy one thing you guys dont. A challenge within a game. Thats also the reason you all dislike "real dxmp" because you cant spend the time perfecting binds and aim like we have. If you try to force how people play a game, people will react. Dejavu tries to shut down all the 0-aug servers, people try to get rid of Dejavu. Its simple equations.

DX is a Computer Game, Computer Games are media, media's first motive is entertainment, entertainments main quality is FUN

If people are restricted to what and how they play a game, they wont stick around to play something they dont like, they will leave.

People always point the finger at others in this community and say "its your fault dx is dieing", they say it so much its become beyond laughable. My mod, DXAG, is not made to get EVERYONE to play it, i tell people on the game "you dont like the mod, fine, then dont play it" because they shouldnt, they can go play oaug or tnag or whatever, and if that makes them happy, thats fine.

I hated the fact that GODZ server went down, ok for some reason beyond logical comprehension it attracted a lot of players, but then, if a lot of people played the server, does that really make it a bad server?

The only reason im happy GODZ went down is due to the extreme ego boost it gave nochanc, and hes a prat, plain and simple
