ehh i dont think its slimlines fault because i could host it before

imperials disc is broke so he just deletes cdpath in the dx.ini

Please learn to read.

He says the error wouldn't stop your server from appearing. But that file will fix the error.

ok still no luck...put in the file it fixed that error but my server still isnt on the server list..i am sure of it.

It wasn't suppose to fix that, as their is no error to fix really. All hosted servers appear in the LAN LIST!! Although, I have got an error where my server appears in the list but no-one can see it.. May be the same thing.

I had a similar issue, re-installing DX fixed it for me. You may wish to keep your maps/mods, they won't get deleted.

Reinstalling DX is useless — to drop settings, you may just rename/delete user.ini, defuser.ini, deusex.ini, default.ini. Your Deus Ex will become like newly installed.

Crap, I was wrong. It can make a new file from Default.ini and Defuser.ini, only when they exist.

Here are fresh .ini's in the attachment. Installing them means the same as reinstalling the game (well, you may also delete contents of /Cache/ folder).
