I posted some new shots for the guys at HDTP, so you can check them out here: LINK.
These ones focus on more in-game things, rather than the mapping itself.

Comment please. :)

I agree, the banks look very clever.. then again, so does the whole mod lol. Can't wait to play it ^_^! It will give me a reason to start playing again.

See the CCTV camera in the shot before the one with the fine? (The one where night-vision is on) - Well, I turned on the lightswitch in the apartment, and the camera saw me - it is light-sensitive

To be honest, there is hardly any objectivism in category "best", no matter who says that (well, philosophers may object that majority forms the objectivism in this case, but that doesn't change the crux). And it's not necessarily that a person who develops a mod is wrong judging his own work. You may state, "CRD is the best Unrealscript security solution", when its really the best security solution. What's wrong? :)

You know what klop means. You use .ini's, I use a real database.

It is and stays wrong to say that your OWN mod is good. You, as maker of it, cannot decide.

Well not just a ini. Remember, .ini files can only read one time, when they are loaded - but my system can constantly write and read the new info

Still using an .ini though?

And dae, you simply don't. You don't go tell people that you are the best at something aswell, why? As said, you just don't.

Rule #13 of software development:

Your opinion on your own work is always skewed.

But I haven't said anything like that :?

I haven't expressed any opinions at all - and especially not things like that, because from my point of view, that's not true.

Truly, what MP mod has covered so much?

None.

Thus, Mainmans wins.

Your opinion on your own work is always skewed.

Not necessarily, depends on your character traits.
And as I already said, there is no objectivism in "what mod is the best", independently to who states that. I mean it's impossible to find this out, therefore Alex can't prove why author's opinion is definetely wrong, because it's impossible to find objective truth to compare with :)

When I make a sig, I cant judge it myself, so I post it up. I think that is kind of the thing that [A]lex is trying to say.

BUT, the one fatal flaw is, when Mainman makes an RPG, its 1337.

Therefore Map=1337 sigs = must be rated by other but are still 1337, and Dae outsmart all of you. ;)

Dae is right though, just because you make something, doesn't mean that your opinion is invalid. Far from it - your opinion is the one that drives the creation - you will not stop until it is perfect, in your eyes only.

Yeah sure it is rude to say 'my map is the best,' but it does not invalidate your opinion. I have never said such things anyway.

A developers opinion on his own work must be taken with a grain of salt. That is not to say it's right or wrong, but simply that you should not believe without doing some product testing. This then makes his opinion beside the point.

Example: I read the box of Windows XP once, from what it made out, I'd have groups of gorgeous women knocking down the door to get a load of my sexy OS. Ir promised speed, security, and ease of use. However all I've had is Jay's, slow load times, insecurities galore, and loss of hair.

Seriosuly, can't wait for some punch ups on the mod.

Although when it gets released you wont be able to punch someone without getting nailed by a stun grenade and a SCAR

Tbh it's not my mod. It's Mainman's. He did like 99.4% of the work. I just modelled 0.6 percent of it, which is guns.

It's the best in terms of how much effort put into it.

I'm not throwing any mud at anyone, simply stating a rule of software development.

It's the very rule that leads to 'black box' testing.

'black box' testing is where the person using the software has no knowledge of it's inner workings.

Knowing how software works and how it breaks can lead to inaccurate test data.
