If only your logic didn't fail completely.
Who remembers the Gamecube.
I still have one.
So do I.
Doesn't mean I've played it for 2-3 years.

Toilets in that direction
Even the gamecube was more powerful than the PS2.XII//:Protocol wrote:Magus wrote:XII//:Protocol wrote:0o7 wrote:If its cheaper, people will buy it simple as that

But gamecube was the cheapest one. The only place it failed slightly was the comparison of DVD's to Mini discs which could only hold 1.8 GB. Nowadays there are Holodiscs which hold, ready for this, 3 TB of memory, that's 25 years of uninterrupted radio transmissions; shove that up your rectum Blu-ray.Magus wrote:Of course, that's elementary logic.
It came out later, thus, they could put better shit in it.
So things looked ever so slightly more awesome.

Sorry, I was responding mostly to Allan's post about arcade games and next gen.

Allan wrote:Power != good games.
The Wii uses no more than 8-bit graphics in its games, because they know that gameplay/fun comes before graphics. Also, if power meant better games - Why do people play old arcade games?
Still, I see all 3 next gen consoles as a way of saying "You need this game because it has better graphics than the version on the other consoles!", when you don't really. Anyone with a copy of Silent Bomber, any Final Fantasy predating 7 (regardless of console the game is for), or even an old copy of Mario/Pokemon, dig it out. Play it. Most of you will (hopefully) see that you don't need flash graphics to enjoy games.
Although, I will admit that some of the next gen games can be quite good.
Arcade games are best in small doses.Chococat wrote:S*** Pickle wrote:I'm not talking about the amount of good games, I'm simply talking about the power.

Why the hell do you think emulation exists?
