Also, don't make inclusive statements without confirmation from those included. (IE: Ask everyone who plays DX if their PurgeCacheDays is set to 0 before making a statement saying so.)

I have it set to 60.

What are you talking about? MMUserInterface merges both the Gamespy and DXMTL.eu FGS Masterserver together, and considering it's vast popularity, how can new players possibly not see it? :-s

There's like alot of DX players going on forums and stuff, but i see none of them on, so closing down FGS was nothing to them bascially

Well in Rec's case, it's bullshit, he plays daily, for hours atm... my server logs can vouch for that. As for the thread, becoming bullshit too. No-one knows who did it. It's interesting though, only FGS and no-one else got attacked. The time would be better spent working out how to safely reintroduce mmcity and dxms without further attacks. As for FGS, the servers and leaders are gone, but we will not sit around wondering who did it, we will look for new leaders and members and atm we have a server running. It's worse for dxms and mmcity.

I feel like quitting along with Roi and Icho, there's little point in sitting on my server being irritated by AW, TKG, SKC, DXST etc. The gap between good players and noobs is widening. There's far too many people on my server who just wanna irritate me, spam, ask for admin, do no fighting or simply accuse good players of cheating and leave. This never happened until the Stargate maps went up. I'm seeing a similarity between the way Mmcity has been treated by the community and the way anything else good that was community-led is treated.

Do any hard work in DX and it's guaranteed to get bitched, attacked, crashed, abused, spited, nit-picked, disrespected, complained about etc... I SURRENDER - let noob party servers and default maps and nubbery be the only thing left in DX. Let the noobs and the dossers have it their way. I mean not like Mmcity, DXSG, DXAG took more than a few minutes to make anyway...I think there's a lot of players like me, bored shitless on a noob server and having no fun at all in atdm. If u are wondering why FGS quit, read the rules of FGS "respect all players". However strong your feelings are about augs or non-augs, STFU, don't make enemies and don't tempt providence.

This is incredibly stupid. One thing I've noticed in the past week, is that once FGS shut down.. Everyone is contributing their bandwidth to host servers, Deus Ex now has 21+ Servers! OMG

He has a strong point, there are more that 100 active members on this forum, yet most do not bother to play Deus Ex with others, Deus Ex does not stand a chance if all of us just go on forums, talk(about deus ex), etc.

We should all go on more often.

Shadow runner also has another point, but think back to my other point... If more (good) players played Deus Ex, to rule out the population of noobs and good players, this nooby savage would stop in it's place.. Because Every good player would fight in a server, and the one noob in the server, wouldn't bother asking for "the admin" because everyone will ignore them. Soon enough, the noobs will just have to forget about asking for "admin",etc. As almost nobody on deus ex will hand it over.

The main problem. All of us need to pley deus ex, now. In chance of survival.

Everyone on these forums at least used to play DX, but that was years ago, and people have gotten older and have better things to do.. However its still nostalgic to come on the forums and talk about the game.
