Yeah, the N64 had some class games though. Ocarina of Time was good, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Mario 64. Can't really remember any games after that though worth mentioning?

Better hardware
More notable games that had successful sequels. (Most PS1 games were scrapped for the new gen and moved or moved onto other consoles.)
Had the better version of RE2.

And before you think of posting global sales of current consoles, that was a tally of sales after all the consoles were finished being produced. So don't waste your time.

The Sega Saturn was actually the best of the 3 of the consoles. Duke Nukem, Dragon Force, Steep Slope Sliders, Loaded, Discworld 1-2, Virtual Fighter, not to mention various RTS games making console debuts... shit like C&C and Warcraft.

N64 was the reason I started gaming. I never had one because I was bought a PS1 (32 bit looked like shit) but every day I would go round my best friend's house, invite next door neighbours, smack SSB/Goldeneye/Conker and we would go insane on eachother. this was before crappy Achievements were introduced.

With the PS1 I always questioned "Do I like what I am playing?"
