Is that Latin writing? It seems to be the same as the writing in the trailer, some of which is deciphered, some not. Any ideas on how to translate it?

The "2027" vote has been edited out. A sign that Eidos Montreal had noticed over-speculation on the date (it may have been I flashback after all, just like I said) and removed it. Now the only reason to remove it now after all of the speculation would be to drive our minds away from a prequel. Why?

You can't say that. It certainly brings attention to the fact that they didn't want attention brought to the 2027 date, but their motives for doing so are completely unknowable. I think further speculation on such things will only make us closed-minded to further revelations about the time setting.
