Anybody seen Leathal around? He's using an aimbot. I wasn't aware of any aimbots working with DX!

He randomly dropped into B2S' Zero Aug server and spawnkilled us in iceworld. He admitted to using an aimbot, called the admins cunts and then got kicked.

i think hes " Wasted ", an outcast on these forums and in the community. he has cheated before but knowing him i really doubt that was an aimbot. probably some other cheat. and i know at least one import-aimbot that works nicely, and probably some triggerbots can be borrowed from other games as well.

Yes well Wasted is a fucking moron. And yes, there are plenty of aimbots for Deus Ex if you manage to find 'em (hard to use them all now with all the sweet cheat-protection mods though lol). Any game has some sort of aimbot, it's what it does and how good it is, is the real question. That and how big a risk is it.

I talked to wasted on msn a few times.. Plesant guy... NO wait.. he was a pompus ass who was extremely rude, was insulting for no reason, and was deleted as well as blocked from my msn.. The guy was simply a jerk when I said Hi to him... There's a few aimbots thought that I know of that can work with dx.. as far as nephty's.. it's not that hard to bypass it.... in fact, it's fairly easy to do if you know how.

i sometimes think i am the only one in the whole server who doesnt use it! its insane! people dont even leave spawns. half the players in server are controlled from 2 or more computers anyway, guided by one player. he positions them to good advantage points, facing different directions, and then lets the aimbots do the work. he may move around with one player though.

Wasted has MainMan's mod. I know that because I used a Console-Recording modification and they used the exact same console.

I know of one called Aimbot V3, but it is a colour-based bot and yes - i have tried it a few times (only out of sheer curiosity) - but never got it working.

Whatever he was using - it worked well!

Gimme a few days, it's on a hard drive which is up in my attic. I can't remember the site I got it from, see.

If the reason you want it is anything to do with catching those who use it, I think it's impossible as far as I remember. It's completely separate from the game, and works on colour recognition only. As I said, I'm not aware of it working in DX.

Anyhoo - I'll PM it when I put that hard disk back in.

i think few people including dejavu were trying to get a colorbot to work, but the main problem was getting the game to work with edited mptextures (added color), i think. other than that the colorbots work just fine but they shoot at every damn object that has the color youve chosen (or target it, depending on bot).

ive never distributed any shit that ive had in my possession, unless for 1-2 people that were actively trying to figure out the threat and act against it. of course they were also highly regarded by the community.

it is better not to mention something like this anyway unless you can say no to your curious friends. i never had a problem with that, the jackass that i am.


the number of actual aimbots may well have been alarmingly large in such a small community, but, still an exception than a rule. few players have admitted to it years later themselves, but, i am more familiar with 0auged community and only know bits and pieces of the tales from augs.

in general there has been more people that are certain that there are no aimbots for deus ex, and others who view most or all of the skilled players as aimbots. i think rational analysis and paranoid hysteria are not one and the same. but for me it sure is hard to understand who is and who isnt. in the end of the day you know that you arent.

No my aimbot works perfectly and successfully identifies team and non-team, etc, has different options of tracing players, etc. But I'm not planning on releasing it. And yeah, wasted has it, so you can be sure that's what you saw in server.

Any clienthook bots /console mods will be discovered by CRDM, right?

I'm still pretty sure the aimbotv3 won't work for dx, and I'm also fairly sure that it will remain undetectable due to the nature of colourbots, but:

a) I'll PM it to Alex.

Just so ya know, I only told [FTF]Darkninja. Both of us spent daaaaaaaays trying to get it to work, but it didn't. I'm not sure if he has it, but I don't have it (yet, i'll put that disk back in asap)
