Excuse me but how am I a nerd? I just noticed your posts and you decided to attack me over it, I tried to explain that I wasnt calling you a nerd yet you still attacked me. All I did was point out how many you had but are you really so insecure and ashamed that you had to attack me for it? :S If so I'm sorry for bringing it to peoples attention.

If you want to call me a nerd you can, I don't care to be honest. I could easily just say you're the biggest nerd here for letting the internet affect you emotionally. Only thing I reckon I'm not going to like about RF3 is that it's third person. But you never know it might make it better. It'd be good if they made it so you could select which view you'd prefer.

Anyway, RF3 isnt out till 2009, hopefully they'll sort out some of the apparent fps bugs in the trailer.

The FPS looks pretty dodgy in the trailer, has to be said. They might be pushing even this generation if they put too much into the geomod. I was happy as it was in the first one, even to just enhance that with some minor tweaks/additions and I'd be happy.

I never played any of the Red Factions before, but I saw gameplay footage however.

Can anyone tell me what "geomod" is

Basically it's destructible landscapes, so in Red Faction you could take some C4 and blow a hole in almost any wall. Now after you blow this hole your first thought it "ok that's all I'm allowed to blow up", but if you add some more c4 into the already blown hole you can blow it deeper (think of it like mining into a mountain). This was one of the main features of RF1 - the sheer amount of landscape you could blow up on one map was unheard of.

In the second one, they basically stripped it down to just blowing up thin walls and ground, with limited results.

It also had this nuke rocket laucher type weapon in the MP which was utterly awesome.

Would someone who is not effected by the internet "emotionally" type up two paragraphs, totalling 189 words, taking about three minutes of waffling the same exact point?

My bad, but in response to the fps issue addressed, surely it was in a near beta build and the new multiplayer footage seemed to be a lot smoother.

On the subject of Red Faction. I hated 2. I didn't even finish the first level, and I hated it. Why? I watched the full intro.

And the only thing I didn't like in the RF:G vids was that the ammo counter is in the middle of the screen.
