Remember that topic I posted 2 years ago and you ALL ignored it?, well most of the general public did too. Ever wondered why we can't watch some videos on youtube?, download demos if we're from certain countries>, visit some fucking WEBSITES?

Thanks to the ignoring public we're going to have to deal with so many blocks on the internet. I'm not going to rave or rant on I'm just going to push "I told you so" in front of your faces. Enjoy your Sky Digital PC.

Actually, I knew about Net Neutrality a while back and have watched videos on it. I just don't care to rub it in peoples faces or complain about it, because we, the people of the internet, have already lost.

I believe in Net Neutrality because I believe it ties in with the Human Right to Freedom. And I am a strong believer of the Human Rights (read- Human, I don't think these Rights should expand to any convicted criminal because they, to me, automatically lose all rights when they break the law) but Internet Service Provider's have the freedom to do what they want, it's their business, not yours.

You can't just give a little and take everyone. Same goes for ISP's actually. They do the same thing: Give a little and take everything (our money). There needs to be a middle ground, will there be one? Maybe. Who knows.

As for websites blocking access themselves, get over it. That's called tough luck. Like I said, that ties in with freedom, it is their website, their business, they pay for it and they run it. They can do what they like with it. If someone started coming up to me and telling me how to run my website I'd tell them to fuck off. Or would you just succumb to the will of every man?

Yeah pretty much. But I still believe the Governments can do something about it, in regards to Internet Service Providers. Not to individual businesses and websites that threaten Net Neutrality though, that to me is just Freedom and it's extremely contradictory.

On one hand there is the Freedom to view what we want, when we want, online or off. But on the other hand, at least in my eyes, there is the Freedom for a business to do what they want, when they want, to their own business, both examples within the law. We have freedom under the Human Rights Act (or we should) and businesses do too since it's their own business and they run and manage it.

This is a bit of an exaggeration. There may be a bit less then that, and most will be affiliated with the ISP. The rest is an exaggeration because that's what ISP's will do, control the internet. They will just force you to keep quiet pretty much, and to me, that's illegal.

I believe what the ISP's are doing, what the governments are letting them do, is incredibly illegal. I'm pretty sure it's against the Human Rights Act: The Right to have Freedom. What is freedom if we cannot state how we dislike someone? Or how we do not like a service or a product a company gives?

What is freedom when we cannot have the right to view online things, at our own disclosure? So, I'm all for one for Net Neutrality, but the governments have to get off their asses and do something now. Not when they find out their own sites are blocked.

We've become so technologically advanced, the internet and all it's programming is one of those advancements. Why the hell do people want to take it away so bad? Are too many "powerful" individuals scared that the majority are talking? Are screaming out how bad that person or company is? Sounds like a government, doesn't it?

We, the people, are good when you need us, to vote for you, or pay you. But as soon as the people who are in power get that power, they want more. The ISP's, the governments, they forget one thing: We ARE their power. Without us, they are NOTHING.

It's not the point that they're doing it in all countries, the most prominent case of it I believe is in China, where their Human Rights is so fucked up anyway it's simply not surprising. I can't tell if it happens here because any site that's blocked I clearly don't view.

I believe it happens in the US, because if it wasn't such a problem over there nobody would be complaining about it, making videos about it or wanting whoever wins the Presidential Election to change it.

Also I thought it wasn't happening in the US, but it was coming close and that is the reason for the videos etc?
