There you've said it. Everyone has a very high opinion of Red Alert being the best games in the series, Yuri's Revenge being a popular fan favorite. But I've been digging and everyone is expecting much better than those previous games, but in truth they aren't because they've played it and don't expect much now and lowered their standards in slight disappointment.
See: release of Command & Conquer 3.
Additional: Say what you want about Dead Space, I'll still be buying it when my Xbox gets back.

You say Red Alert being the best in the series? Balls, the original was and still is the greatest of them all.
Say what you want about the other big RTS franchises, Starcraft, Total Annihilation, Dune, Dawn of War, none of them hold a candle to the juggernaught that is Command and Conquer.

That'll soon merge with WoW for another fucking expansion to reach the stars...Aaron wrote:This news is probably old.
This just in: The worst possible thing they could do to Starcraft II.
It's a tie-over with the Warcraft universe. Azeroth is between Char and Aiur. You can recruit Taurens.

Meh, I've played some of 'em and I didn't like them personally. They didn't feel like C&C.

~Psychotic~ wrote:Red Alert's storyline was just friggin weird IMO, it seemed more like a filler because it really had no purpose except to say Kane lived before the Brotherhood of Nod was created, that's about it as far as I can see.

Speculation is fact amirite
More like, EA are trying to up their quality standards and stop shoveling out shit like Tiberium was shaping up to be.

Apparently they're dumping a ton of titles, the Command & Conquer franchise is one of them. But I think this is all just speculation as I haven't heard any announcement from them.
As for playing C&C3, wouldn't mind trying it but my only source of gaming is a shit laptop.

How can they be dumping the C&C franchise with Red Alert just around the corner?
I mentioned Tiberium as a dropped title because that's what EA stated officially that it was, dropped due to quality standards
