Flash games

Postby Siva » Tue Dec 09, 08 9:52 pm

IGN launched a new channel recently devoted to free games, all that's there at the moment are flash games.

One game in particular caught my eye - it was called Sonny and it was a turn based Zombie RPG.

I remember flash games being cheap looking ways to waste my adolescent time, and as I grew a little older I tended to realise that flash games were shit.

That is, until recently.

I don't know what happened, but flash is now capable of putting out SERIOUSLY GOOD GAMES. Better than some games that are actually released.

Here is one I discovered through an imageboard I visit
www.playauditorium.com, try it. It's likely the best flash game you've ever played.

Sonny is by far my favourite flash game. Sonny is actually going to be a trilogy apparently, they're working on the second one now (beta was to be released in September apparently but it never happened).

I've played through it several times and it's still bloody fun.

This is true for me too, and I don't actually own any turn-based games. At all.

Some of the games from Diseased Productions I like. I also like Storm the House, it's a good time-killer.

Anyone use a particular site for Flash games? I use http://www.funny-games.biz personally, large list of games, hate the site name (seriously, does anyone have any creativity anymore? Funny-Games seems so unoriginal).

I tried using Flash but as of current it's really confusing for me to get the hang of. I'm not used to ActionScript and I don't think I'd be patient enough to learn it because I tried learning PHP (no comparison really, but it's still coding) and I couldn't do that for the most part (trial and error is how I'm doing it now).

So I give kudos to the people who make the games like Sonny, because they're bloody talented in my opinion.

It iss hard to wade through the shit just to find a good one though lol

That's why I stopped using Newgrounds. I like it's template but the layout for the games and videos is just a pain in the ass so I gave up.

Newgrounds is too full of morons.

Crazymonkeygames.com and Armorgames.com have sponsored flash games they find on Newgrounds, basically the cream of the crop.
