Who else is hoping that this game is half the price of a normal game or free?

I think most if not all of us who bought the game got shafted into thinking this game would last longer than a year.

The only person who could possibly be scared by this game is Kyle.

He is scared of everything

Oh piss off! This game doesn't terrify me to the core but ask anyone for proof: if I see a place; flooded with zombies, I say "Oh, FUCK this!"

I agree with this.

It's more of an arcade zombie shooter than anything, really.

ESPECIALLY 3, all special infected reek of Nemesis panic.

ye

EDIT:
also this:
desperation, panic and despair

There's moments like these in L4D, of course not stuff that makes you shiver all over, but it's still there. Many times I've activated a car alarm by shooting in the direction of something, the moment it grabs/attacks/biles me.

As for L4D2, the immersion seems kinda ruined from what I've seen so far, but there's still a couple of months to go.. so that might just end up right.

All and all L4D is a game that throws some "OH SHIT" "FUUUUCK "Not again not again not again" moments constantly but people need to understand the difference between fear/scared and absolutely petrified.

ITCHY TRIGGER FINGER!!!

You were intimidated by it in the cutscene.
You wanted to kill it to make life easier, ignoring advise from equal fearing people who know what happens when you shoot the licker.
You shot the licker.

You see, the creator of that map effectively added the licker trap to manipulate your fear and to punish by adding more lickers that respawn.

Oh yeah, I've had several "OH SHIT" moments, especially when around the witch and accidentally bumping into her, don't get me wrong.

OH SHIT Moments include the Witch as you said, someone alerting the hoarde, or the Tank appearing, but the only time when i played the game i can recall even getting the slighest bit apprehensive was the very first time the Tank appeared.

In all honesty, the first time I saw the tank, I laughed so hard at his almost-crippled running motion and his inability to throw stuff at me accurately.

I haven't played the game and still think people who own it are being shafted with L4D2.

Anyway about the rebate, it looks likely considering what happened over the previous fiasco with UT2003 and 2004

Call of Duty 4 had oh shit moments that doesn't make it a horror
I have frequently been tense to the point of cramping the muscles in my own ass in a game of FIFA that does not mean it is a horror game

This is coming from a person who outright refuses to watch horror films just because they potentially bother me afterward.

Terror =/= Horror

Call of Duty =/= Real war

Terror: very great fear, panic, or dread
Horror in this context: Intense dislike; abhorrence.

In this context they mean different things

In cases L4D can be slightly terrifying but it can never reach the definition of horror we are talking about.
