The respawn is one of the things that pisses me off most. And WaW is bad for a reason: it makes you notice it even more.
I hate how the way enemies work is pretty much based on a costant spawning and stop spawning if the main character doesn't move. It's stupid as fuck. You stop, and everything calms down.
And in CoD your objective isn't taking them down. No. Well it kinda is, but if you find some way to exploit it, you can win by going ahead. That pisses me off, a lot. If you gain ground and go forward, eventually your allies will take down everyone else. Yeah. The allies. 3-4 guys that will always follow and will get up after they get a bullet in the stomach and say "Hey, what are you suprised about" and the rest is useless cannon fodder who can't shoot for shit, rushes, and gets replaced in no time. Their names are kinda hilarious sometimes.
It wouldn't be hard. They should just get rid of the shit i mentioned. Set a number (a low number for hell's sake, enough 5 on 100 bullshit) of enemy spawns and allow your npc mates to SHOOT and stop TRYING TO HIDE IN PLAIN SIGHT.
Vietcong (which is still the best wargame to me) did it all bloody right, 6 years ago, why can't they.
