200 Floppy Discs...

Postby Allan » Fri Sep 18, 09 12:29 pm

Does anyone have any ideas what I should do with 200 floppy discs?

'cause I got them for free from my old computer course due to obsolescence - They now give anyone who joins a free 1GB memory stick.

Separate them into colours and make a collage of a monitor out of them. Frame it, call it modern art, make money.

Bah, I only have black floppy disks. I'll break the dust covers off and use them as the outside of the monitor screen. Silver monitor FTW.

No, it fails because it's a lot bigger. And 80GB is really poor these days for a HDD.

Pirated console games, USB drive loading program, emulators.

These are the only things I would use one for.

I have several computers, so I keep my music on a USB so that I can listen to it wherever I log on.

Well, I have no less than 3. One I rarely use, one I never use (that's only really mine 'cause I paid for all the non-stock parts), and this semi-broken laptop.

I just stick all my music on the laptop, 'cause it's somewhat portable.

I've got a 2GB one that I plan on upgrading to 8GB for college. When you start putting films and crap on there to watch it becomes a pain to switch them around.

you should plant them so eventually you have over 9000 floppy discs

thats right, and that is not all, not only will you have over 9000 floppy discs, they all come packaged in heat and sperm resistant plastic wrapping not suitable for children under the age of 3 (ie reclaimer).

I lol'd a little, then palmfaced. Having over 9000 floppies would be truely lol-worthy, but I don't have the storage space!
