Saw this not that long ago.

Sounds good in theory, but I fail to see a point unless developers get off their ass and start supporting the OSX itself. Since most games use DirectX and since DirectX is still being updated and supported by Microsoft, I don't see this happening very soon.

Put it this way, if I see people bitching even more about how X game won't work on a Mac I'll fucking shoot them.

EDIT: And for Christ's sake I wish people would stop referring to Microsoft Windows as a fucking "PC" (referring to the comments section).

Well all hardcore gamers avoid Macs like the plague anyway. So yeah. Valve will probably get behind it, but I doubt it will have the market share they hoped for.

Deserved its own thread tbh, it's nothing to do with the Macs.

Excellent news.

Cedega or Cider

even though it's an emulation it's really decent and most notable thing is that the performance of emulated games is pretty much at the same level with Windows

of course it's not flawless, but they're improving it and Steam could bring more interest to it (and the whole Wine project). Windows API doesn't change too much with time, so they only have to catch it up once

Also included in the announcement is the addition of a new "Steam Play" feature for Steam, allowing purchasers of either the Mac or PC versions of Valve's games to play on the other system free of charge.

I thought that was silly because I would have assumed they would offer both versions of the game if they offered them anyway.

Ah well. Time for MAC ONLY OR KICK servers enjoying their 4850s.

On another more serious note, no emulation.
