Sequelitis - Mega Man Classic vs. Mega Man X

Postby James » Mon Nov 14, 11 8:07 am

Mega Man was a game that was so simple and yet so ahead of its time. It defined an entire genre and continues to be considered one of the best titles in video gaming history. But, does its spin-off sequel, Mega Man X fair so well?

Do not worry this is not like his Castlevania video, this is actually a hate letter to bad game design while praising 2 of the best. This insight is why I like games like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Demon's/Dark Souls and etc. It follows you how to play the game within the levels without holding your hand and it isn't a bad game for the sake of difficulty (Ninja Gaiden).

The argument is that game tutorials do not respect the intelligence of the player and show them how to play the game the wrong way.
