Do you think there should be a baneling limit/cap/supply test before HoTS is released?

Note: As you know I have nothing against banelings, except how easy it is to be punished if you make one mistake. There is no way such a change can be implemented in WoL because zerg would be ruined.

Other than ZvZ, i wouldn't call banelings really unforgiving. And in that case a supply limit on banelings wouldn't change anything.

What made you think of this? because I can't see where you're coming from to be honest.

other units filling roles later on like swarm host.

just an idea, and i stand firm on my ideal that arbitary changes to force metagame changes (e.g. introducing a baneling limit which influences you to change tech to swarmhost/broodlord for mass pressure) are bad.

Well I wouldn't say the role is being filled by the swarm host at all.

The swarm host just gives some meatshields which allow you to attack with your ground army. They do not do any AoE damage. Banelings are crucial AoE vs bioplay, they don't tend to get sniped as much as infestors.

If anything there should be a supply cap on hydras to keep zergs from throwing away won games with hydras.

edit: Like, I honestly have NO terran friends. Majority of the people I know play zerg because they're too anal to be the 'OP' race which you need a lot of micro for it to be overpowered... lol

But nothing happened. I just flew around dex's being useless with voidrays and phoenixes, and then every 7 minutes dex sends some roaches to my base so I fly back to my base and then back to his.

For anyone on how to get into StarCraft 2; a note that has been shared.

1. Get one standard build order for each matchup to use every game until you are in masters.
2. Learn how to analyze your own play (at the basic level: learn from Day9 dailies about basic RTS strategy. above that, this is where you compare your play with pros to learn more details. eventually you develop your own intuition and opinions on strategies.)
3. Forget about winning or losing, EVERY GAME focus on improving one thing in each game and consider it a win if you improved that
