Bye bye AMD. They're switching to mobile processing.

What I DONT like about this, is that intel now has the choice to run a monopoly.

With less focus on cpu's......................

...More focus will go into gpu's. Expect better AMD gpu's in the future, as well as speedy mobile phones, and mobile devices. Notice that AMD's eyes have shifted to nVidia's Tegra3 development.

"Oh shit. Tegra's coming along very well, and bulldoozer flopped something large, lets pull out of cpu's and..."

It all makes sense, and it's a smart move on their part.

Competition-wise, it's practically turned into:

intel vs ????????

amd vs nvidia

Next year is going to be "year of the tablets", and amd is not going to let nvidia dominate the market with tegra3 on every windows 8 tablet.

apple is going to be fucked in the tablet department. Windows 8 is far quicker and easier to use with tile mode for every day users, and more compatibility options.

In the future, I honestly see AMD only going gpu.

I see...

nvidia = mobile tech

amd = PC GPU tech

intel = PC tech

Tegra has much more promise than amd's shit "apu" architecture, not to mention that most core tablet designs are all built around tegra now.

AMD has certainly dropped the ball. Starting with Phenom X3 lol. Get. your. shit. together.

Don't get me wrong. I'd like to see AMD do well, but they've fucked up beyond repair.

Not necessarily??

AMD suck at CPUs anyway. They shoulda realised that they started to suck about 4 years ago.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

No, they seriously suck.

If it's not an A8 laptop, a Phenom x4 II or their Phenomx6 II Desktop.. it blows. I work around this shit every day. I'm finished working on every intel PC LOOONG before the AMD is finished. It's garbage, and Bulldozer just proved their killing themselves.

For christ sakes.. The intel atom in netbooks it much faster than AMD's dual core for the same brand of netbooks. The frequency in the single core atom is only about 120Mhz faster as well.

-and the chipset issues involving blown caps.. my god, every-single-day. AMD to intel issues 7:3. Most intel PC's that come in are just generic HDD failures anyway.

This.

Ahaha, actually.. IBM has almost completed developing a type of storage memory that is 100 times faster than SSD's and 100 times less costly to manufacture.

I found out about this a month or two back. Will be amazing when unveiled.
