Steve Vai is one of the hottest guitarists out there and in my opinion he is one of the best guitarists EVER (in rival with dearest Brian May and Joe Satriani).

I have hundreds of CDs that I made that start loud and lively and by the time it reaches the end of the cd, it's soft and slow. =)
