How can I tweak my connection speed so my server can run faster?

I've heard stuff about these tweaks. About time that I learn about them.

If you have adsl set your mtu to 1430

there are actually no tweaks that would improve your connection and your server.

these tweaks can improve your connection for 1% or maybe 2%. dont botter with them. ive been in your phase, 2 years ago, wanted to knew all these tweaks, but simply, my server didnt run better after all.

if you want to tweak your server then do following:
- get decent CPU (celeron sux, amd xp 3200 or intel pentium 3ghz would be enough for 16players i think)
- get good connection with static ping and as much as possible upload (256k is for 8 players, 384 for 10, 768 for 12, you would need about 1,5m upload for 16 players)
- if this is your pc also, then set high priority for server (ctrl+alt+de -> procesess -> deusex.exe -> high priority)

and then, your server will be very good.

And if you live in USA buy a better connection It's not like here!
Also, if you're talking about Deus Ex server, don't forget about DXIPServer fix.
And don't forget that lag can be caused by computer too.
