My Ping Is Unordinarily High

ive no fucking idea whats wrong, every ping is high as fuck, and i have no spyware, i should be getting 70-100average, ne one have ne idea as to what is wrong?

Have you tried running a virus check...you might have one of those damn viruses that set up your comp as a mail server and starts sending mail to everyone? I had one of those damn things...pings of 2000+

This situation is very same to mine, i have same problem. The pings in the list are wrong, its just a number. Sometimes i have ping 900 in the server list and in reality its about 150. I guess, its not a problem in your computer, i think its a problem caused on master servers (servers, that recieve requests from the servers and send this list to users).

i think its sorted itself now, but the pings were actual at tht number and it often lied and sed 90 and it was abt 700, but the ping has gone down and shud be ok now, but i cant play properly until i get my other gfx card in, which i took out for a pointless reason, lol

do u use a cable modem moshman??

cos i do, when the pings are like that, i just turn the pc off, disconnet the modem, and reconnect it, turn it back on, and VOILA! pings are back at 50-100
