Roflmao @ Gran Turismo: HD. There will be "Classic" and "Premium", In Classic, you get nothing except the menu to look at, and you have to buy cars\tracks etc SEPARATLY.

A complete copy of the game will cost gamers somewhere between $426.50 and $975, and that's without factoring in whatever Sony decides to charge for the menus (since that's all you'll get with GT HD: Classic).

Lmao. Talk about shitty marketing.

You know, I had a thought.

Wii ripped of the PS2. How? It's controller. The whole motion thing is simply the next step in a tech the PS2 has, and which Microsoft ripped - pressure sensitive buttons.

Feel free to disagree.

Looking at the Wii now, I can't actually see any reason for me to buy one... It has virtually no brand names that can sell the console, and any it does have, I lost interest in when the N64 died.

The Wii controller does look very fiddly though... not to mention the flat style on the other controller.. it worked on the SNES well enough, but the Wii isn't the SNES...

When I grip a controller, my thumbs are naturally on the D-pad and right analoge stick. Considering there are a lot of games that don't require the use of the D-pad, I find that design quite stupid.

They probably just swapped them so it wouldn't look like so much of a PS2 ripoff.

No, they swapped them because it makes sense. the D-Pad is mainly used in games to either

A) Open a "Quick-menu"
B) Hide your gun.
C) Change weapon.

Its there because Its quicker to move your thumb down and then up again.

Yep. I disagree. You cannot RIP-OFF something that hasn't even been done yet. That doesn't make sense. Explain to me how it is possibly related to pressure-sensitive buttons (Which I do agree X360 stole.. Kind of.) and I will give you a cookie or whatever.

Analog sticks? Those we'rent ripped. Those were common sense.
Shoulder buttons? Ripped.
Start\Select? Ripped.
"6 Degrees of Motion"? OBVIOUSLY ripped.

Sony are clutching for straws now. They're console is coming out 5 months late to one of the largest markets in the world, at a ridiculous price I might add. They had a manufacturing error (Verification..?) with their diodes so there aren't enough. -.-

Their exclusivity deals are a ticking time bomb. Once GT and MGS are gone, Sony are screwed.

My thumb is naturally where the analogue is. To move it to the GC analogue is unnatural and uncomfortable. To fully make use of the analogue range of motion, and the d-pad on a GC controller requires moving your hand on the controller. I get the same effect by simply flicking my thumb up on a PS2 controller. =/

My point being, if someone is going to say Nintendo invented the motion'ness, and Sony ripped it, where is everyone complaining about Nintendo and Microsoft ripping the pressure sensitive buttons?

Seriously though, Analogue sticks where around before you were born. (A-r-c-a-d-e)

Shoulder buttons - every console has them, why pick on Sony?
(Sega and Nintendo had them. So one of them ripped it first.)

Start/Select = Sega/Nintendo, again.

The motion thing, that is a rip, from a gameboy, no less.

Sony will have more PS3's ready for sale on the USA launch date then the 360 did. The only fault Sony has thus far, is not being able to launch globally. This does suck, but if you think you're a hard done by Euro gamer, grow the fuck up and look the hell around - other countries that are not 3rd world countries get consoles a lot later then you.

Have a read.

This, I find piss funny.

The GT crew have launched 6 [from memory] succesful titles on the Playstation's. What on earth makes you think they have any reason to doubt the PS3? Not to mention the contract Sony no doubt has giving them their souls should they sell out.

MGS is pretty much the same, but they have about 4 [again from memory] across the Playstation's.

Far too many people are biting at the rumour mill that is cranking up now the PS3 is getting close.

You basically elaborated on what I said. If the creators of GT or MGS (Although you can buy MGS 1 and 2(Substance) For PC.) decided to branch out to the other consoles where those two genres are distinctly lacking, I, and so would alot of people, have no reason to purchase a playstation 3. Yes fine, I can plug it into my kitchen sink and have it regulate my water flow, but do I REALLY NEED THAT?

And if dis-assembled, and re-assembled correctly, a laser pen, capable of burning a hole in a ceiling, provided that there are sufficient lenses present. About 4 does well, with a 0.15cm stagger between each.

(I did this with a mates PS2, great laugh. I also have the burn in my ceiling to prove it)

Everybody steals off Sony

Hey Stevie, I had a thought.
Parts of the gentoo linux distro's code is ripped from the PS3 due to insufficient funds!

Hhmm, in my opinion the only advantage the ps3 has was the fact that it can handle 1080p. But they lost that advantage because the xbox 360 will soon have a dashboard update that will alow it to also handle 1080p. Also, alot of the games for the the ps3 will be sold for the 360 1st (most of the ps3 games will be also on the 360 anyway). Yet another reason why I see no need for me to spend 500/600 dollers on it :?. And I also hear Sony is considering having the system set up to when you buy a game and play it on your system it will be licensed to play only on your system or something like that. And if you were to play one of your ps3 games on another persons system, it wouldnt alow you to. Which makes no sense to me. =/

Ahh I think that was an old plan of theirs until they woke the fuck up. Yeh about that 1080p thing, Sony are being children about that, stupid ones that can't read. MS said that there will be an update so that old games can be resized to play at 1080p and that new games can support real 1080p and Sony said "resizing doesn't make it true 1080p :]". They're backing the wrong disc format for this gen and I think they're finally realising it.
